‘Find a job’ is a phrase that resounds in the minds of many Irish citizens over the recent years. Whether the circumstances have changed due to redundancy or to losing a job as a result of the current economic climate, this is unfortunately an issue that so many people are facing at present. The Bureau of Labour Statistics released a new search report which outlined the length of time it takes someone to find a job. The report was based on the transition from unemployed to employed and found that 11% of job seekers took a year or longer to find a job. The report shows that between the years of 2000-2008 about half of all unemployed people took roughly five weeks to find a job. That time frame has since increased due to the rise in unemployment. With more people in Ireland seeking employment, companies like Qualified Irish are making the process a lot easier for prospective employees.

He is stood at the ocean’s shore looking out at a vista of the Statue of Liberty, British Houses of Parliament, Sydney Opera House and Toronto’s CN Tower. This creative and innovative move to find a job has certainly paid off for the job-less paddy, who is job-less no more.
